• In fact, you can open an account on www.cheaptickets.com to find what's the cheapest price of your airtickets. And then you can bid a price on priceline.  
• Try priceline.com for reverse ticket auction.  If you want a fixed price, try travelocity.com or trip.com 
• 1. check the zone-fare coupons offered by my credit cards (AMEX, citibank etc) 
  2. check www.cheaptickets.com, they usually have better price than the major sites like expedia or itn. 
  3. check small airlines like airtran or ATA 
  4. if I still dont like the price, check local newspaper, f.g. NY Times Sunday's paper, travel section.

• Travelocity's price is quite high. After some online research, easily you can find a cheaper air ticket than travelocity's. Expedia's also kinda expensive. Best air/hotel/rental website beside priceline is www.hotwire.com
